A spur of the moment change in travels brought us to the small fishing village of Puerto Lopez to watch the seasonal migration of humpbacks that come up in the thousands to breed in the warmer waters of the Ecuadorian Pacific. These creatures make their move from deep south and come in the thousands. It’s not a question of whether or not you’ll see humpbacks between July and September but how many. Condor Park Otavalo- Feeding the birdnerd frenzy

A visit to the Condor Park Otavalo gives you the opportunity to see the world’s strongest bird along with a number of owls, hawks, and eagles. Of course if looking at birds in cages or behind bars isn’t your thing Condor Park can still leave the visitor satisfied with their flight demonstrations and personal encounters with Harry’s Hawk, the American eagle, a barn owl, and a few other high flying birds.
