San Juan Wine and Cheese- Anniversary date at Lake Atitlan, Guatemala

January 25, 2015
Taking a tuk-tuk back I had to ask the driver to stop so I could take a picture. A view San Pedro from this hill on San Juan.

Cafe Artesano is the fanciest, most romantic and delicious restaurant in San Juan la Laguna. With a 5 star rating and over 40 reviews we were easily convinced this would be the spot for our anniversary date!

Meet the chefs. One hails from Italy while the other is a local Guatemalan. Each day they only take reservations even though we saw a bunch of people trying to get walk-in.

My date for the day and for the rest of my life. There was a huge explanation of the nearly 30 cheeses and 20 cured meats set on our table.

After getting off the tuktuk in San Pedro we saw a small parade with a group of people dressed in crazy costumes.

After all this why not jump off something and go for a swim! A great way to end the day
