Glamping in El Nido Part 2- The Nest of The Birdhouse
September 22, 2016
This is Part 2 of our 3 part series. If you missed the first post outlining the hike up to the property check out Part 1 here.
You’ve made it on your 7 x 7-meter platform, turned around to see the view, and now you are in anticipation of opening up the zippers for the big reveal.
People come for two main reasons, one for the view, and second for the glamping experience of sleeping in a tent. Now that you’ve seen the view let’s peek the nest.
You’ve got either a ton of luggage or less weight in the form of a backpack. We always recommend the latter.
One of your hosts will ask whether or not you want all that luggage inside after learning that most people don’t. In our first experience of checking people in we put all their luggage in only to see them take it all out so they could take photos.
When you see the zippers go up, you may notice the screen that protects you from mosquitoes and other creepy crawlies. This provides you with great ventilation as there are 4 other “windows” with screens to keep you cool and protected.
Each piece of furniture, each pillow, each aspect of this nest was designed with love. For example, we encourage great dental hygiene and partnered with our friends over at Minka. They’ve created environmentally friendly bamboo toothbrushes and support various non-profit organizations.
If the fluffy pillows aren’t enough feel free to throw around some of these throw pillows.
At the end of each night lay your heads down and dream of great things…. Remember you’re already in paradise!
